”1 In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was taken, on that same day the hand of the Lord was upon me and He brought me there. 2 In the visions of God, He brought me into the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain, and on it to the south there was a structure like a city. 3 So He brought me there; and behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, with a line of flax and a measuring rod in his hand; and he was standing in the gateway. 4 The man said to me, ‘Son of man, see with your eyes, hear with your ears, and give attention to all that I am going to show you; for you have been brought here in order to show it to you. Declare to the house of Israel all that you see.’” // Ezekiel 40:1-4

In Ezekiel 40-48, the prophet relates the specific dimensions and details God gave him for a future temple. Most believe this temple will be a temple built in the 1,000-year reign of Christ on the earth in the end. One of the remarkable aspects of this revelation given to Ezekiel is the specificity of the details God provided. God reveals eight chapters worth of plans for this temple. How astounding it is that God has always been able to foretell any and every detail of the future! I am so thankful that God knows exactly what we are supposed to do each day. These are the types of things God does for those who seek Him through Bible reading, prayer, and hearts that desire to obey and follow Him. May we be those people!

  • Pray that God will speak to us as individuals, families, and as a church with specific direction on the big things and the little.
  • Pray that you will have a heart that seeks the Lord.
  • Pray we will be a people who listen to Him and obey what He says.
  • Pray for the Long-Range Planning Team, that God will speak with incredible clarity and specificity regarding our future.
